TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Dr. Taillon has taught 20 classes and six different courses in marketing. Prior to starting his Ph.D. program at New Mexico State, he taught as an assistant lecturer at The University of Akron. Combined, he has had the opportunity to instruct over 750 students with an average overall rating of nearly 4.7 out of 5.0. He enjoys the challenge of teaching courses in a variety of modes, including face-to-face, online, blended, and virtually. In his long-distance course, he instructed students in real-time through video conferencing to two satellite branches of The University of Akron while a live class was present in his classroom.  This unique experience presented him with the challenge of creating an engaging and meaningful course while integrating technology and modified materials into the course. In addition to adapting to different modes of instruction, he has also had the experience of teaching classes of all different sizes.  From a face-to-face section of six students to a face-to-face section of over 90 students, he has customized courses to meet the needs of his students.

Dr. Taillon's approach to teaching is simple. He recognizes students have different learning styles, interest in the topic and goals for the course.  He believes communication is key and he works hard to create an open dialogue with his students.  Check out Dr. Taillon's teaching philosophy to learn more.
